The squad

The best combination of fifteen within £100.0m, at most three from any club, and a legal shape — not the fifteen best players, which is a different and worse question. The eleven is chosen separately for every gameweek, so the fifteen is judged on how it can actually be used.

Squad changes

Who to start and who to bench for this gameweek, from the fifteen you already own. No transfer needed — this is just the eleven that scores most.

Captain & vice

The captain scores double; the vice takes over only if the captain does not play.

Transfers

Options priced against each other over the next 6 gameweeks, after any points hit. Each gain is across your whole squad — which is why upgrading someone who was correctly going to sit on the bench comes out at nothing. The ± after a gain is how far it could swing either way.

Edit your team

The FPL site keeps your team private until each deadline, so the board can only read your last locked side. Record the changes you have made here and it will show — and advise on — the team you are actually going to field. It clears itself once the deadline passes and the real team comes through.

Chips

A chip is a season-long allocation, not a weekly choice — the question is never "should I play it this week" but "which single week between now and May is its best home". Holding is the default, and stays the default while the weeks that matter are still out of view.

Your mini-league

What decides a league is only the difference between your squad and your rivals'. Points scored on a player everybody owns move the whole table together and change nothing. In a head-to-head league that is even starker: only your one opponent matters that week, margin pays nothing, and a player you both own literally cannot affect the result.

Gameweek 7 — how it went

How the gameweek that just finished actually played out, against what we said beforehand. Read the spread of scores first — a few points either side of the league average is what an ordinary week looks like, not a verdict on the picks.

Expected points per £1m over the next 6 gameweeks. This is where cheap enablers show up — the players who fund a premium forward elsewhere.

The premium end. Worth reading next to the value table — the gap between them is the money you have to find elsewhere.

Next 6 opponents, coloured by difficulty. Lower-case a marks an away trip. Early-season fixture swings are the one thing the model can read clearly before form settles.
